14 April 2015 Computer game MIL students

On March 12th, 2015 Korpodeko had the pleasure of welcoming a group of very promising senior students and their teacher from the Maria Immaculata Lyceum. Mr. Losiabaar, the ITC-teacher at the school had given his students an assignment to either research a subject or create something new from scratch as part of his class curriculum.

Tahir Martina, Raishel Cijntje and Wei Chen Sa answered the call to action and teamed up to create an impressive computer game. It becomes an even more impressive accomplishment if one realizes that his was “just” a class assignment and that the resources available to the students are limited. Nevertheless, they were able to create a fun interactive game with symbolic representation of some local landmarks.

As the sustainable development corporation of Curacao, Korpodeko applauds and encourages the cultivation of young local talents like these three gentlemen. The result of their class assignment proves once again that teamwork, talent and proper guidance can accomplish anything. Each of these young individuals has ambitious plans and goals for the future. Korpodeko encourages them to keep studying and developing themselves. Korpodeko has also expressed our willingness to support them if they decide to take the game they developed to a next level.

We also command Mr. Losiabaar for his guidance and motivation of his students and the Maria Immaculata Lyceum for creating an environment for these students to learn and develop.
